Hydro Holding is a multinational group specializing in the production of hydraulic fittings and hoses for medium-high pressure systems. The group represents a successful case of the build-up strategy implemented by MCP, which aggregated four leading Italian companies active in the production of components for hydraulic systems: initially Tieffe and FB Hydraulic, producers of fittings for flexible hoses, followed by the acquisition of MCS Hydraulics, a small player with complementary products (stainless steel fittings), and Raccorfer, an asset deal that enabled the group to access the production technology of cold forging. At the time of the exit, Hydro Holding owned an extensive product list (consisting of more than 13,000 items) which it produced in four Italian plants and one plant in the Czech Republic, exporting all over the world based on a global sales network and two foreign sales companies in the United States and the United Kingdom.
